01

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text record stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, scripts, and device storage. They can keep a session secure, remember a preference, resume an upload, or measure how a page is used.

02

Where this policy applies

This policy covers the public WorkMentor website, the hosted WorkMentor application, customer subdomains, public careers pages, public invoice pages, and the WorkMentor administration area where they link to this policy. Connected third-party sites can set their own cookies under their own policies.

03

Technologies we use

CategoryPurposeExamples
Strictly necessarySign in, maintain a secure session, prevent request forgery, route users correctly, and protect administrative areas.Session token, CSRF token, callback URL, secure admin session
Functional preferencesRemember interface choices and unfinished local activity on the device.Theme, sidebar state, dismissed notices, onboarding drafts, upload-resume state
Security and diagnosticsDetect faults, investigate abuse, maintain audit context, and keep the service reliable.Session device details, IP and user-agent records, Bugsnag diagnostics
AnalyticsMeasure page and feature use where a customer or WorkMentor has enabled an analytics configuration.Google tag or tag-manager technologies, when configured and permitted
04

The public marketing website

The current WorkMentor marketing pages do not automatically load advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising. A secure cookie is used only when an administrator signs in to the private website CMS. If analytics or another optional technology is added, it must be disclosed and, where law requires consent, held back until the visitor makes a choice.

05

The signed-in application

The WorkMentor application uses necessary authentication cookies to keep users signed in, protect requests, refresh access securely, and return users to the intended page. Secure deployments can add browser prefixes such as __Secure- or __Host- to cookie names.

The application also uses local browser storage for preferences and continuity, including theme settings, sidebar state, temporary onboarding drafts, upload resume information, and dismissed notices. This information stays on the device until removed, expires under the feature's logic, or is cleared by the user.

06

Third-party technologies

  • Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on its payment interfaces for fraud prevention, payment security, and checkout functionality.
  • Google may use cookies when a user chooses Google SSO, Google Calendar, Maps, or another Google service.
  • Bugsnag receives technical diagnostic events used to identify and resolve software faults.
  • A customer can configure Google tags for certain public pages. The customer is responsible for its analytics purpose, notice, and consent configuration.
07

How long technologies remain

Session cookies can end when the browser closes or when the session expires. Persistent cookies and local storage remain for a stated or feature-specific period. Authentication records are refreshed, revoked, or removed according to security expiry rules. Exact names and lifetimes can change when security or browser requirements change.

08

How to control cookies

  • Use any cookie-preference control shown on the relevant WorkMentor page to accept, reject, or change optional categories.
  • Use browser settings to view, block, or delete cookies and site data. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and can break protected features.
  • Disconnect an optional integration from WorkMentor and, where needed, revoke access in the third party's account settings.
  • Clear local storage through browser site-data controls to remove saved interface preferences and unfinished local drafts.
Important

Continuing to browse is not treated as consent where the law requires a clear choice. Non-essential technologies should remain disabled until valid consent is recorded.

09

Browser privacy signals

WorkMentor does not currently sell personal data or run cross-site behavioral advertising on the marketing website. Browser signals such as Global Privacy Control are relevant where a law gives them a specific effect. We will update our controls if our practices or legal obligations change.

10

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when cookie names, purposes, providers, or consent requirements materially change. The revised date at the top shows when this notice was last updated.
